Durham University will be coming back to the Algarve 7s for a second time after they attended the inaugural edition in 2018.
In 2022 they will be travelling to the Algarve with a strong contigent of 40 players and staff including one team to compete in ELITE Men´s competition and another team to compete in the OPEN Men´s competition.
Durham is one of the most successful rugby programs in England rugby. Founded in 1875 the Palatinates have been at the pinnacle of university rugby ever since and have produced countless international players including the likes of Will Greenwood and Will Carling. Their 1st XV compete in the BUCS Super Rugby competition and are defending champions facing teams such as Exeter and Hartpury.
The Algarve 7s tournaments have just got stronger.
